What are Freshends?
Freshends are individually packaged, flushable moist towelettes developed as a high quality supplement to traditional dry toilet tissue.
DOES THE FRESHENDS TOWELETTE CONTAIN ALCOHOL?
No, Freshends are free of alcohol. Ingredients include: Aloe (Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract), Chamomile (Chamomilla Recutita Flower Extract), Cucumber (Cucumis Sativus Fruit Extract), Marshmallow Plant (Althaea Officinalis Root Extract), Vitamin E (DL-Alpha Tocopheryl Acetate).
Is Freshends an all natural product?
No. The solution developed for Freshends contains ingredients including Aloe which require an anti-fungal agent to prevent spoilage. We have selected anti-fungal agents that are commonly referred to as parabens. Parabens occur naturally in several fruits and have been synthetically manufactured to be chemically similar to those found in nature. They have been used as an anti-fungal agent in a wide variety of cosmetic and personal care products for over fifty years. Our solution contains parabens that are an anti-fungal agent chemically similar to the preservative found naturally in blueberries.
The solution created for Freshends towelettes was designed to be safe, effective, and luxurious. Despite current marketing efforts that might suggest otherwise, there are few, if any, preservatives that can match parabens extensive and long-standing track record of safe and effective use in cosmetic and personal care products.
We at Freshends are not married to any of our ingredients and maintain ongoing efforts (including both internal and external research) to assure that we maintain the highest levels of product quality and safety. You can be confident in knowing that our commitment to product quality and safety is unwavering.
How does Freshends choose ingredients?
We choose the highest quality ingredients that safely provide a superior level of comfort and cleanliness.
Are the Freshends towelettes sewer and septic system safe? What makes them flushable?
Yes, the Freshends towelettes are sewer and septic system safe. The towelette fabric utilized in Freshends has been tested by the independent NSF in accordance with INDA/EDANA “Guidance Document for Assessing the Flushability of Nonwoven Consumer Products (2008 Version 1)” and were found to be flushable for the following waste water and treatment systems:
- Toilet building drain and house hold pump, (US, UK, and EU)
- Onsite waste water treatment systems, (Septic and Aerobic)
- Municipal collection and treatment systems, (Aerobic and Anaerobic)
- Untreated discharge systems.
For best results, we recommend using no more than two towelettes per flush.
